Self-registration of patients at the check-in terminal is done contactless with the patient pass in compliance with hygienic requirements. This eliminates the need for patients to use the reception desk for admittance and thus reduces close contact with the hospital staff. The patients are then being called via the Management terminal from the operator’s desk at the treatment location, for example at the linear accelerator. The call, using both visual and audio messaging, is compliant with data protection regulations. In this way, hospital staff does not have to enter the waiting room. The Management terminal also provides the information of patients’ current locations. Patient flow can be controlled to minimize personal encounters.
